INTRODUCTION

‘abhiyanta’ was established in 1989 in view of providing all electrical services but full fledge consultancy activities were started in October 1991. We work as consultants only in electrical, fire detection & Protection Communication and Security Systems and have to our credit good projects and repeated orders from clients.

 

We have worked as consultants to M/s Irridium for their Generic Gateway at Pune. This station has been established in accordance with international standard and has been acclaimed as one of the best ‘Gateways’ for Irridium in the world as far as design & work standards are concerned.

 

Mr. Vaidya also worked as consulting member on team, which established test facility for 100 MW Hydro & Turbo alternator at M/s CG ELIN Plant at Mandideep. He visited M/s ELIN E.V. Austria for above purpose.

 

We have formed effective and efficient system and are in a position to provide consultancy to any scale of electrical project in short time span.

Design & Operation Philosophy

 

SCOPE OF WORKS

 

ENGINEERING SERVICES :

  1. Data accumulation for electrical & allied systems in our scope through meetings with client and other consultants.

  2. Load calculations and assessment of actual demand, possible maximum demands, rating of transformer, substation requirements, DG set requirements.

  3. Detail engineering of the power system like distribution cables, Panels & Distribution boards, cable sizing, power outlets, power wiring. Layouts for the power distribution system. Single line diagrams.

  4. Lighting scheme design for internal and external lighting, lighting layouts with SLD’s. Selection of fixtures and detailing of mounting.

  5. Detail engineering & layout drawings for lighting protection & earthing systems.

  6. Detailing and drawings for communication, fire detection and alarm systems, Security systems if any.

  7. Preparation of Technical specification for equipment and works. Preparation of bill of quantities and estimates based on BOQ and Specs.

  8. Floating Inquiries / Tenders consisting of ;

    1. General terms of contract.

    2. Technical specifications.

    3. Schedule of quantities.

    4. Drawings.

  9. Technical and commercial comparison of quotes for above recommendation, negotiations, order drafts etc.

  10. Preparation of work schedule and programs based on available information and inputs from clients.

 

 

SUPERVISION

  1. Shop testing of panels, transformer etc.

  2. Regular site visits to sites monthly / by weekly depending on the clients requirements, for quality survey of work and material progress review meetings.

  3. Feedback to client about progress / delays, probable reasons, obstacles, Certification of bills.

  4. Measurement & billing help to client engineer / representative. Certification of bills.

  5. Testing commissioning checks and witnessing testing and

commissioning.

 

DOCUMENTS

  1. We will provide two sets of preliminary printouts/ drawings for approval of clients / architects.

  2. Bidder shall be given tender documents with drawings at an appropriate cost. Client shall decide the bidders. We will provide list & information of reputed contractors.

  3. Client and contractor shall be given two sets of working drawings each at the time of starting of the work.

  4. AS - BUILT drawings shall be PREPARED BY contractor in our association. It will be contractor’s responsibility to provide AS - BUILT drawing sets, reproducible, manuals etc.

  5. Any additional tracing to be done due to change in the systems at a letter date shall be paid extra. All prints provided on client / contractors request over and above the above sets shall be charged extra.

 

EXCLUSIONS

We have not considered in our scope :

  1. Day to Day supervision & follow up with contractor. However qualified site engineer can be provided, if necessary.

  2. Testing and commissioning checks of equipment outside purview of our scope.

  3. Liasoning with statutory agencies.

  4. Post completion follow - up with contractor and supply agencies.

 

LIAISON WORK

We do not envisage any liaison work with statutory authorities and supply agencies, inspection agencies etc. This will be in contractor’s scope. The tender conditions shall be so framed. Client can appoint his own agency for this purpose. We shall provide necessary technical backup, base drawings and calculations for above purpose.

 

INPUTS FROM CLIENTS

We will require following inputs/documents from client :

  1. All architectural layout and related sections with structural details.

  2. Load list with all ratings ( KW/HP, Voltage, Phase ) with details Controls being supplied with M/C.

  3. Specific recommendations of M/C. manufacture if any, for cables, starters, controls, External interlocks required.

  4. Load cycles data for machines with general process logic and operating frequency. This is important for ascertaining the actual demand.

  5. Machine layout and preferences of cable laying methods if any.

  6. Lighting levels ( LUX ) area wise, requirement of color rendering etc.

  7. Essential loads in case DG set is to be planned for partial load.

  8. Information about nearest power supply line. ( If available )
