Autofield Engineers Private Limited (AEPL) was established in the year 1981 with the objective to develop, manufacture and market components and parts used in automobiles.The factory was set up at Sahajpur, Daund Taluka (declared backward area) in Pune district on a plot admeasuring about 52,000 Sq. Mtrs.
The Company is engaged in the manufacture of Inlet & Exhaust Valves used in all type of Internal Combustion Engines. The commercial production began in 1983 with an installed capacity to produce 2.00 million valves a year.
The company got most of its SPMs from Atlas Crankshaft, Corporation, USA. Major part of the capacity was used for supplying Engine Valves to Cummins India Limited (erstwhile Kirloskar Cummins Limited).
The company continues to supply engine valves to Cummins India Limited (CIL) which now form 20% of total Sales.
The raw materials are obtained directly from reputed valve steel manufacturers namely Kalyani Carpenter Metal Centres Ltd., Pune; Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Ltd., Bhadravati; Star Wire India Ltd., Ballabgarh and Carpenter Technology Corporation, USA.
AEPL is the only company in India using Extrusion Forging technology for its products. The technology has both qualitative and quantitative advantages over the conventional forging process. Product range includes more than 30 varieties of valves used in cars, commercial vehicles, tractors, locomotives, generators, marine engines, etc. The company supplies engine
valves to OEMs as under :-

(b) Cummins India Ltd., Pune
(c) Eicher Tractors, Alwar
(d) Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi
(e) Garden Reach Ship Builders & Engineers, Ranchi
(f) Bharat Earth Movers Ltd., Mysore
We are also approved vendors for companies such as Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Igatpuri; Birla Yamaha Ltd., Dehradun and International Tractors Ltd., Hoshiarpur.
80% of our present production caters for OEMs. AEPL is the first source of Engine Valves for "Indica" Small Car of Telco. The company has been regularly exporting to USA, UK and other
countries for more than 5 years and the quality and timely delivery has given us appreciation and respect of our customers abroad. The company is continuously supplying number of repeat
orders from UK firm manufacturing race car engines for the last 3 years or so bearing testimony to the aforesaid statement. The company also caters to the needs of After Market and has Distributors and Dealers, serviced by company appointed Field Executives in different parts of India.
The company has established an effective Quality Management System. The company was awarded ISO-9002 Certificate by RWTUV, Germany on 15 Sep 1998 and QS-9000 Certificate, also by RWTUV,
