Trivandrum Sanskrit Series (TSS) is
one of the oldest Oriental Series comprising a series of Sanskrit
books edited from Sanskrit palm leaf Manuscripts edited from old
palm leaves dating back to 1400 A. D. available in the Trivandrum Oriental
Manuscripts Library. The palm leafs available in the Library have been
famous for its contents and great Sanskrit scholars like Ganapathi Sastri
, Sambasiva Sastri etc. have been the editors of the library. The
content of these Sanskrit works and their authenticity have been well known
in the field of Indology and Sanskrit. These Sanskrit series comprises
books from various disciplines of Sanskrit like Jyotisha, Silpa, Ayurveda,
Kavya, Nataka, Kosa, Tantra to name a few. The famous Bhasa Natakas have
been a part of the Oriental manuscripts Library collection and when they
were brought out under the series they became classics in the Drama arena.
The practice of these dramas have made one understand the stage practice
of Indian Sanskrit theatre prevailing in ancient times.
These books were printed in small numbers and considering the short
time in which this series became popular among the Indologists abroad
the books became out of print in a very short time once they were printed.
Considering also of the sheer mammothness of the editing of these manuscripts
and the non availability of reprinting facilities available at that
time the books remained non available once they became out of print.
Now we have located the titles in the series and we are glad to announce
the reprinting of these once famous titles under our on-demand Publishing
