Design Tools we use
We have chosen Cadence PCB Design Expert and SPECCTRAQuest(TM) Signal Integrity (SI) Expert to use in designing its high-performance products. The PCB design environment includes Allegro® Expert, Constraint Manager, PCB Librarian, Concept® HDL, and SPECCTRA® Expert.
Faced with increasingly complex PCB designs, CEDA began evaluating tools that would improve its ability to manage the technological challenges inherent in these products. The company assessed tools from a variety of EDA vendors by having evaluation teams use them to design a high-performance automotive PCB. Ensuring signal integrity was a key success criterion, although a tool's capability to handle all aspects of the design process was considered. Enabling team-based design entry, capturing large complex designs easily, and having an integrated capture application and an effective re-use support system were all taken into account.
