Overview of Chandak Group
The entry of Chandak Group in the field of Petroleum Products was in the year 1939, when it secured dealership of the erstwhile Caltex India Limited for marketing of petroleum products, viz. Kerosene, LDO and lubricants.
From then on, the group never looked back, and grew from strength to strength. In 1965, our flagship company, R. G. Chandak & Co.,Igatpuri, was appointed as Indian Oil Corporation agent.
Later in 1971, our group company, Shree Laxmi Automobiles, Igatpuri, obtained Petrol Pump outlet dealership from Indian Oil Corporation. The petrol pump is located on Mumbai – Agra Highway.
Meanwhile through a group company formed in 1973, Mahesh Transport Company, we have considerable transport experience with over 20 ownership tankers and another 30 attached tankers. Also, over the years, the Chandak Group has developed substantial operations in Real Estate leasing and Finance.
The advent of subsequent reforms initiated by the government in early 1990’s opened up the doors for decanalization of petroleum products. The Chandak Group accepted the challenge posed by the new liberalized economic policy and diversified into the imports and parallel marketing of Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) in 1994 in the name of Apex Synthetics Private Limited. Owing to constant growth in operations, the company has attained the designation of deemed public limited company and is now known as Apex Synthetics Limited (ASL). ASL has agreement with oil majors, Indian Oil Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation for parallel marketing of SKO. We have successfully marketed SKO in collaboration with these companies with imports at Mumbai, Kandla and Cochin. ASL has also blossomed into the biggest SKO distributor for M/s. Reliance Industries Limited.
Thus, our group has demonstrated considerable experience of dealing with public sector oil companies. The Chandak Group has head office and administrative offices at Mumbai and Nashik City. This gives us a first hand knowledge of market situation in Nashik district. ASL has branch offices in Gujarat, M.P., Karnataka, and Kerala.
