PHOSPHATE-CHROMATE COATING ON ALUMINIUM

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
ALCOAT 501-51 used by dip process to produce a bluish green protective phosphate - chromate coating on aluminium and it’s alloys. The achieved coating provides excellent protection for unpainted aluminium and bonds paint well and can withstand bending and denting of the surface .The process and coating is unaffected by steel brass or copper inserts in the article being treated. ALCOAT 501-51 meets the requirements of MIL-C-5541A.
INITIAL BATH MAKE-UP
Add 4.4 Ltr of ALCOAT - 501 liquid and 0.34 kg ALCOAT-51 powder per 100 Ltr. bath volume.
OPERATING PARAMETERS
ALCOAT TITRATION .......................................14-16 mls.

Temperature ......................................................Ambient (upto 500 C)

Immersion Time ................................................30 seconds to 4 mts.
