Liquid Level Controller (ELR10P) |
Introduction
Liquid Level Controller ELR10P is normally used to control level of liquids in overhead tanks. To sense the level of conducting liquids three stainless steel Electrode Type Level Sensors (ELR10S1) are used which are designated as HI (high level), LO ( low level) and 'G' (ground). For insulating liquids and also some conducting liquids Float Type Level Sensors (ELR10S2) are used.
Mode of operation
|
The relay is designed to work with the pump
motor starter
It gets energised when the liquid level goes below the LO level sensor and de-energised when it touches the HI level sensor. If the liquid is lifted from an underground or ground level tank, the PD (Pump Dry) sensor can be fitted at a suitable low level in it, to de-energise the relay, when the liquid level goes below it. In this case, care must be taken to ensure the cause of such low level in the underground tank and pump restarted only when there is suffiecient liquid in the tank. The relay contacts can be used to control the starter coil of the pump motor. |
