Electronic Photo Relay
(EPR10P)

Introduction

The supersensitive photo-electric relay called Electronic Photo Relay EPR10P is basically a light activated solid state relay with   a  provision for adjusting the intensity of light level. It is very simple and reliable and employs a resistor bridge with an LDR as one arm of the bridge,so that the perfomance is extremely sensitive to slightest changes of light. Whenever a light beam falls on the LDR, the relay de-energises, and when the beam is interrupted, the relay is immediately energised. the reverse mode of operation is also possible. The relay comes in a moulded plastic casing with terminals on the top and bottom of front. the casing is dust and vermin proof and comes in a soothing grey colour.
The LDR (sensor) is fitted in the field. There can be various types of sensors as per specific requirement. We offer two standard types of sensors: EPR10S1 and  EPR10S2 . The illustrations of the sensors are shown below. Both of them serve the same purpose. EPR10S1 is used in line with fitting light source EPR10L1, while EPR10S2 is used with EPR10L2.

Mode of operation
 
 
  The relay is mainly used as a touchless limit switch for 
   counting, sorting, batching, automatic cutoff, web break 
   detection, centre guide of web, automatic gate opening,
   positioning, etc.
