Single Phasing Relay (ESR10P)

Introduction

Single Phasing Relay ESR10P also called Open/Reversed Phase Relay monitors  sequence and failure of phase and also voltage reduction in a three phase, three wire supply system.The output relay normally energises when the phases are correct.The relay will release when a phase is lost or phase sequence is reversed, or the voltage is reduced.

Mode of operation

Single Phasing Relay ESR10P is connected to the three phases of the supply system at terminals 1,2 and 3 from which the control supply is also derived. The relay senses the negative sequence voltage of the circuit and normally energises when the phase sequence is correct.The relay will release either for lost phase, or for reversed phase or reduced voltage.

Application

Single Phasing Relay ESR10P is used in three phase motor protection, protection of three phase rectifier and thyristor panels, battery chargers, transformer rectifier units, etc. It is also used in ships, mobile cranes, electric traversers, etc.or anywhere the phase sequence or loss of phase to be safegaurded such as power distribution systems,etc.
