Electronic Voltage Relay |
Introduction
Electronic Voltage Relay EVR10P is a solid state relay which senses the input voltage (A.C. or D.C. as the case may be) and operates when it crosses a preset limit. The relay consists of a stabilised reference voltage which can be set by a potentiometer on a calibrated dial. The input voltage fed through terminals 9 and 10, rectified and filtered in case of A.C.input, is compared with the reference voltage. A trigger circuit switches an electromagnetic relay, when the preset limit is exceeded in the desired direction. Generally, two types of relays are available.
Under Voltage Relay (EUR10P)
In this case, the relay operates only when the input voltage falls below the preset limit.
Over Voltage Relay (EVR10P)
When the preset voltage is exceeded at the input, the relay is energised.
Both the relays are housed in a moulded plastic casing with terminations at the top and bottom of the front. The casing is dust and vermin proof and is normally suitable for projection/base mounting.
Application
The relay can be used for sensing any voltage fast and accurately. It acb be used in computers, electronic panels, stabilisers, and in process control panels involving electronic controls, etc. Also it can be used to monitor line voltage on any parameter that can be converted to voltage, e.g., speed, frequency, pressure, light level, etc.

Line Voltage Monitor (Under/Over)
Electronic Volatge Relay (EUR10P/EVR10P) can also be used as a line voltage monitor which will operate if the line voltage goes either below (EUR10P) or above (EVR10P) the rated supply voltage as per preset value within the limit of +/- 10%. To acheive this connect the input voltage terminals 9 and 10 to supply line terminals 1 and 2 respectively and set the desired voltage on dial within +/- 10% of supply volatge.
