Suggestions for a Comfortable Workplace
/ Workstation

The way you sit at your computer can make all the difference of your either
getting or not getting an RSI ( Repetitive Stress Injury), also known as CTD
(Cumulative Trauma Disorder) such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) which
strikes the wrist. There is a correlation between the incorrect positioning of the
arms, wrists and fingers when using the keyboard for long periods of time and
the incidence of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The best way to avoid injury to the
wrist is to ensure that when working over long periods of time you are always comfortable and by ensuring that the following points on the check list are followed. However, please note that there can never a single position that is best suited to everyone. It is important that each person must find by trial and error the best
positions suitable & comfortable to each one's individual needs.

Guidelines for Your Sitting Comfort:-
1) Sit on a chair that has a proper lower back support.
2) Ensure that the feet rest flat on the ground, if not then use a footrest.
3) The forearms must be parallel to the floor, preferably the chair has an arm rest.
