MIRACLEAN 12000 - SCALE SOFTENER / REMOVER
Deposition of scale consists varying composition of scales and the fact is that a scale never consists of a single component and it is not to be expected that one chemical agent would give complete removal. Therefore MAKARA through R&D have developed a powerful scale softener cum remover consisting of imported versene, inhibitors and cleansing agents with scrubbing bubbles to remove scales completely in sugar evaporator tubes.
3 to 5% of MIRACLEAN 12000 with normal caustic boiling removes even hardest carbonates and phosphate scales besides oxalates and silica. The solution consists of caustic soda , soda ash and common salts and MIRACLEAN 12000 prepared by sugar mills may be filled upto calanderia top and heated for 4 to 6 hours at 90 to 100C before cleaning

MAKCONTROL 4000 - ANTISCALANT
MAKCONTROL 4000 - Antiscalant with powerful imported dispersants to inhibit scale formation in sugar evaporators. It is phosphorous free, low molecular weight co polymer , non volatile and stable to hydrolysis. It inhibits silica , oxalates , sulphates , phosphates and carbonates.
It is a stoichometric compound causing no colour change and pH. MAKARA shall take care for the homogenous distribution of Antiscalant through dosing pumps.
Appearance : clear colourless to pale yellow
Ph : 5.2 to 6.0
Specific Gravity : 1.0 to 1.2
DOSAGE : 15 PPM maximum
MAKQUAT 5000 - BIOCIDE
MAKQUAT 5000 is a boon to the sugar industry with 100% efficacy due to chloride replacing system . It ruins Leuconostoc Mesenteroids and Bacillus Lavaniformans, ceasing inversion and allows only 1.0 unit purity drop between primary and mixed juices. It also helps eliminates dextrans and thus viscous fermentations in which the syrup becomes thick, slimy and ropy. Less purity drop per unit can give extra sugar at 0.04% on cane.
MAKQUAT 5000 stops inversion to the greatest extend.

MAKVIS 7000 - VISCOSITY REDUCER
MAKVIS 7000 is a tailormade product for lowering viscosity to get proper crystallization of sugar and exhaustion of molasses in centrifugals, inhibiting scales in pans and centrifugals.
Boiling time, steam and water consumption can be reduced and better quality crystals can be manufactured.
The benefits of reduced viscosity are faster boiling in pans and recovery of sugar , lower molasses purity , lesser use of centrifugals.

MAKCARB 9000 - BIOCIDE
DI ALKYL DI METHYL DI THIO CARBAMATE
MAKCARB 9000 - Di Alkyl Di Thio Carbamate, the broad spectrum biocide manufactured by MAKARA acts bacteriocidally. By killing entire thermophilic germs it retards dextran formation enabling the factories to avoid viscose fermentation.
Raw materials are imported from Germany and United Kingdom.

IMPORTED FLOCCULANTS
PRAESTOL is the best flocculant available in our country and is being regularly impored by MAKARA from Germany. It has the highest molecular weight (>15 million) . It is manufactured by M/s Stockhausen GmbH, Germany and is accepted by sugar mills world over.

MAGNAFLOC LT 27 (IMPORTED FLOCCULANT)
MAGNAFLOC LT 27 has already been tried by Indian sugar industry . It is a product of M/s Allied Colloids Limited, United Kingdom and it is stocked and sold by MAKARA in South India.

MAKCONTROL 8000
SCALE AND CORROSION INHIBITORS FOR BOILERS
MAKCONTROL 8000 contains imported corrosion inhibitors to protect the internals of boilers and other heat transfer equipments by forming a protective film on the metal surface. It also prevents scale formation in feed water pipelines. Dispersants available in MAKCONTROL 8000 ensures quick mobility of sludge which can be easily removed during blowdowns.
It is a tailor made solution developed by MAKARA to avoid scale formation and corrosion in boiler internals and to protect boilers.
Many industries like sugar, paper and chemical use MAKCONTROL 8000 for their boilers including package types.

MAKTRO 8000 - TURKEY RED OIL
(SULPHONATED CASTOR OIL)
MAKTRO 8000 Turkey Red Oil with different T.F.M. is manufactured by us under controlled thermal and recycling system.
MAKTRO 8000 is a conventional defoamer used to control foam generated in distilleries and sugar industries. When used it does not affect the rate of oxygen supply to the nutrient solution.

MAKBOOST 7000 - pH BOOSTER
MAKBOOST 7000 - pH booster is a tailor made and complete product to (a) maintain pH (b) Control Algae, fungi and bacteria entering through the make up water and air passing through and (c) stop corrosion, scale formation and clogging in the cooling towers. It has a proprietary blend of pH Boosters and scale corrosion inhibitors to maintain pH of 7+ continuously to get optimum clarification in DORR.
MAKBOOST 7000 enables the factory to carry pH high enough to obtain complete precipitation of phosphate, eliminates secondary precipitation in subsiders and averts deposits in the later vessels of evaporators. The powerful biocides retard all types of algae, fungi and bacterial growth.

ADVANTAGES

PREPARATION OF THE SOLUTION
Assuming the tank capacity as 4000 litres , 400 kgs (10%) of caustic soda flakes and 200 kgs (5%) of MIRACLEAN 3000 with balance of water have to be mixed to make a solution of 4000 litres and the temperature is raised to 80 to 90 C either at the tank or at the column. Extra quantity may be suitably calculated if there are carry over scales.
METHOD OF CLEANING
The cleaning should be done once in 30 / 45 days for 12 hours as per the schedule given below.
(a) Preliminary water cleaning for 1.5 hours (one and a half hours)
This ensures the elimination of wash characteristics and the pH of the remaining water would be at 7.0 after boiling (boiling to continue till pH reaches 7.0 )
(b) Chemical boiling for 2 to 2.5 hours (Two and a half hours)
The chemical solution should be pumped at the top of the degassifying column and allowed to drain down. Once the solution reaches the bottom, the pumping of the solution should be stopped. The pumping can be precisely monitored by checking the pH of the liquid at the bottom of the column. It is a clear indication that the chemical has reached the bottom of the tank if the pH is 9+ (nine plus). Then the bottom valve is closed and the boiling is done. The solution is drained out after first boiling is over. Preheaters and heat exchangers can also be cleaned using MIRACLEAN 3000
(c) Second chemical boiling for 4 hours (four hours)
The balance quantity of solution is pumped into the column and then boiled for four hours.
(d) Final water boiling for 1.5 hours to 2 hours (two hours)
Final water boiling is done for 1.5 to 2 hours with full feeding i.e. the boiling should be done with more water equivalent to the quantity of wash feed. Finally the water is drained out and the loose scales are removed from the bottom of the column.

MAKSAC 5000 - SILICONE DEFOAMER
MAKSAC 5000 is a powerful inert defoamer manufactured from imported silicone oil . It is a biodegradable volatile organic compound -
not like Turkey Red Oil.
It is permeable to gas and only punctures the foam generated and it does not react with any other compound. The sugar mills and the distilleries in India have already accepted this product to control the foam generated in their process.
DOSAGE : very meager depending on the foam characteristics.

With two decades experience, we have brought VECOFLUX into India in the capacity as Indian agents to assist the sugar industry to produce quality sugar .'VECOFLUX' screens offer twice the open area for equivalent slot width and with additional thickness and heavier chrome plating available for increased process capacity and reduced final molasses purity. The screens are mirror smooth with no burrs or bumps and resist blinding and clogging.
'VECOFLUX' screens have 700 slots per sq. inch whereas it is 400 slots in the standard screens.
