MEDICLONE BIOTECH PVT. LTD. is a fully owned private company founded by a group of Biotechnlogists from diversified biological specializations. The core area of competence being development of Monoclonal antibody based Biocomponents, Biotechnology products, Diagnostic products and Therapeutics.
Basic Strength: `Hybridoma Technology' is the basic strength acquired by the company to produce monospecific antibodies called monoclonal antibodies which are used for developing highly specific and sensitive immunodiagnostic kits and also as therapeutics. By this technique one of the basic raw materials required for diagnostic and therapeutic purpose is being produced in bulk. The company has successfully developed a technology to produce Monoclonal Blood Grouping Antibodies (Monoclonal Anti-A, Monoclonal Anti-B and Monoclonal Anti-AB), which is used at Blood Banks and Clinical laboratories for typing various blood samples (Blood Grouping).
The immense technological skill is the greatest asset with Mediclone, which enables indigenising various immunodiagnostic assay technology heither to imported from abroad. The promoters of the company are very well trained in this technology and they have been educated in `The Netherlands' for several years to update the technology.
Products: Products based on Murine Monoclonal antibodies against Human RBC antigens namely `A', `B', `AB' and `D' which is commercially produced and is now established in the Indian market under the brand name of ICON A, ICON B, ICON AB and ICON D, since 1996 through Cadila Healthcare Limited-Ahemdabad.

FFMU- (For Further Manufacturing Use) is a standardized concentrated antibody, which is supplied to manufacturers who wish to formulate finished reagents to a designed specification. Finished reagent is formulated by Mediclone from its own FFMU and is supplied in bulk or vials to distribution companies worldwide.
