COMPONENTS DIVISION

The components division established in the year 1977, fabricates precision natural mica parts, re-constituted mica parts and manufactures a wide range of speciality mica products.

NATURAL MICA COMPONENTS

We fabricate components out of both Muscovite Mica and Phlogopite Mica as per customer drawings and specifications.

The manufacturing of tools for mica fabrication is an art perfected by our technicians. All the tools are manufactured in-house which gives our customers an excellent turnaround time. We welcome tough and challenging fabrication jobs from our customers.

Process:

1. The component size determines the size of mica blocks to be used, while its application determines the quality of mica to be used.

2. Mica blocks of the required size and quality are selected and split with special knives manually to the required thickness. Micafab specializes in splitting mica upto a thickness of 7 microns.

3.Depending on the component size and thickness, a manual leg press or a power press is used to punch the components.

4.Every single component is checked for defects before packing.

RE-CONSTITUTED MICA COMPONENTS

We also inventory and fabricate components out of the following materials as per customer drawings.

1. Rigid Silicone bonded heater mica plate

2. Flexible Silicone bonded heater mica plate

3. Rigid Epoxy bonded commutator plate

SPECIALTY MICA PRODUCTS

1.Microscope research mica - V1/V2 scratchfree mica cut to fit microscope slides, especially suitable for Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM) applications.

2.Mica Guage Glass gaskets - used as a liner to protect the gauge glass from caustic or high temperature liquids.

3.Strainer cores - used as a strainer in metal foundries to remove impurities and control the flow of the melt.
