Model 1160 computer system is based on a mainframe and a set of plugins. The mainframe contains digital voltmeter, reference potentiometer, ultra high stabilised power supplies, facilities for manual and repetitive operation  and  other  monitoring  facilities   needed in a professional, research grade computer.
 The mainframe can accommodate upto 36 plugins. A vast range of plug-ins are available.Following are the plug-ins  which can be housed in one unit :

 * Chopper Amplifiers..............20 Nos.
 * Integrators..........................10 Nos.
 * Multipliers............................ 4 Nos.

The computer can house upto 24 amplifiers ,and is also extendable.The applications of the computers is in solving differential equations and in simulation studies.
