The Eastern Regional Office of the Staff Selection Commission is located at Kolkata.This office was established in 1978. The Commission makes recruitment for all middle and subordinate level non technical posts and services of the Government of India except those for which recruitment is made by the Railway Recruitment Boards and Industrial Establishments.The Eastern Regional Office has territorial jurisdiction over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands,Orissa, Sikkim and West Bengal.
