1.       1.    Training material for Fundamental of computers, MS Word, MS Excel

Project Description: The project was aimed at creation of training material on fundamental of computers, MS Word 95 and MS Excel 95. This was made for providing corporate training to the clients of Software House Pvt. Ltd.

 2.       Y2K compliance documentation

Organization: W.H.O. (SEARO, New Delhi, India)

Role: Interact with whole staff of W.H.O. and check for the Y2K compliance of software and hardware products used by them

Completion Time: 3 months

Description: This was one of the most challenging tasks ever completed by me. For this I had to interact with all the WHO staff (more than 500) personally, collect and document the information about the software and hardware products used by them. After this I need to confirm the Y2K compliance of the same (by any means). If it is not Y2K complaint, communicate with company to get Y2K patches or replace the particular product. I also had to interact with various vendors providing Y2K solutions. I had to document everything, make project reports, and write the meeting details. This document helped W.H.O. to complete the Y2K preparations on time.

 3.       Personal Information System documentation

Project Description: W.H.O. was in process of developing a Personal Information System (PIS) for its Delhi staff. I worked with system designer and developer team to document all the information collected from end user and convert the same in technical document. This helped them to bridge the gap between user and the development team.

 

4.      Y2K and India (My first ever book in 1999)

About the book: The book was aimed at SOHO users who were not familiar with Y2K problems. I used all my experience gained at W.H.O. and documented the same in the laguage understandable to even novice users. The book was a good success and I received the complements from industry giants such as “Mr. Nayan Murthy” (Infosys), “Mr. C.B.Naidu” (Chief Minister of AndhraPradesh).

 5.       Technical documentation for C, SQL, and CLIPPER programs

Project Description: The project was one of the most time consuming ones completed by me. It was concerned with documentation of all the applications and programs developed (in-house) by DBS Bank over a period of time. I was handling the project along with my leader Mr. Louis. For this I had to interact with overseas user (UK/ US/ India/ China/ Taiwan) to know about their requirements and recommend the same to programming team. Thus, I was interacting both with user as well as the developer team of bank.

 

6.       Training material for CLIPPER debugging and basics of SQL

Project Description: The project was aimed at providing training to the existing staff on the use CLIPPER debugger and update DOS programmers with SQL commands to be used in C language.

The book was well received by the students as well as teachers. Due to change in the CBSE syllabus, I am re-writing this book.
