CO-ORDINATION
Better Co-ordination is being maintained with
Local Police , Railway Police and Railway sister departments
Periodic High Level Co-ordination
Meetings with Govt. Railway Police Local Police and Railway sister
departments are being conducted
at Inspectors level, Division H.QRs. level & Rly. H.Qrs.
level to review and analyse the crime position on Railways.
As a result of such high level meetings the following measures were introduced.
Introduction of Women Police beat in ladies
compartments and ladies waiting rooms to
watch the movements of women criminals.
Implementation of High Profile Policing by GRP & RPF to prevent snatching
menace etc. in the crowded sub-urban section at frequent interval.
Introduction of joint escorting by GRP & RPF in affected
trains/sections. Announcement
through Public Address System and CCTV at important Rly. Stations to alert
the traveling passengers against theft of their belongings etc.Systematic
exchange of crime intelligence between the GRPs of Border states.
Train Supdt. / Traveling Ticket Examiners to close the doors of reserved
coaches and also to close the vestibule portion during nighttime to prevent
the entry unauthorised persons.
