2. INSTANT ACTION GROUP
 

Train conductor 
(Head of the Group),

and 2 safaiwalas.		 With a view to check the entry of unauthorised passengers in  reserved  coaches  or  passengers  carrying  suspicious objects or inflammable articles in the running train Instant Action Group  (IAG)  was formed and they are functioning in

4. HIGH PROFILE POLICING

     To infuse a sense of confidence and security, high Profile presence of RPF/Govt. Railway Police has been introduced in important Stations, Trains and sections.

5. BOMB DETECTION SQUAD

Three RPF Bomb Detection Squads are being set up at Chennai Central, Chennai Egmore and Coimbatore Railway stations.

6. DOG SQUAD

Dog Squards are available in the following places. Dogs are imparted with sniffer training  Tambaram, Chennai

7. AID TO RAILWAY ADMINISTRATION

Ticket Checking drive :-

RPF officers and staff are being deployed for assistance to ticket checking drives regularly. The amount of fine realised and persons arrested over the past  years have witnessed considerable increase as shown below.

Railway Act Cases:-

This is another area in which the RPF has been rendering yeomen service to the Railway administration as also the traveling public by controlling the activities of antisocial elements under various provisions of Railways Act 1899. The amount of fine realised and persons arrested over the past  years have witnessed considerable increase as shown below.

7. AID TO CIVIL ADMINISTRATION

RPF companies were deployed for assistance to civil administration and law and order  duties in the following states:-

               In the recent Election totally five companies of RPF were sent for Election Bandobust duties in Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarpradesh.
